Meet the people behind the impact!

Jerome Levisy
CEO
Jerome Levisy has been CEO of BGCDOC since 2013 and has worked in the profession for 25 years. He has previously held positions at Boys & Girls Clubs as Unit Director, Area Director, Director of Operations, and Senior V.P. of Programs. Additionally, he is the former HUD Resident Services Asst. Director and has served on the Durham Prevention and Intervention Subcommittee of Gang Reduction Council. Currently, he is a member with the James E. Shepard Sertoma Club and the Exchange Club of Greater Durham.
Levisy earned both his B.S. in Recreation Administration and his B.S. in History from Ferrum College. He also holds Graduate Certificates in Non-Profit Management from NC State and Business Administration from Duke University.

Regina Lindsay
Director of Operations
Regina received a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from North Carolina Central University and recently completed her Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Regina speaks Spanish fluently and has been working with Boys & Girls Club programming for several years. Previous positions held with the Boys & Girls Club include K-2 Program Leader and Latino Outreach Coordinator. As the current Program Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties, Regina helps manage the Club while also interacting directly with the Club members’ day-to-day activities, a combination that she really enjoys.

Charlotte Makoyo
Director of Strategic Development
Before working with BGCDOC, Charlotte worked as an Assistant Teacher for Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools for five years. She planned, organized, and directed daily activities for school-aged children. Before becoming the Orange County Program Director, Charlotte worked for the Northside Club as a Group Leader, teaching Smart Moves and Smart Girls programs. Charlotte is a Navy Veteran. She attended North Carolina Central University where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education. Charlotte has also attended Williamston Community College and Eastern School of Technology.

Jay Pulliam
Child Safety and Compliance Director
Jay Pulliam serves as the Child Safety and Compliance Director and has been with the Boys & Girls Club since June 2018. Throughout his career with the organization, he has advanced through several leadership roles, including Youth Development Professional, Special Projects and Programs Coordinator, and Site Director. His experience across multiple areas of Club operations has provided him with a strong understanding of youth development, program management, staff leadership, and creating safe, supportive environments for young people.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Augustine’s University and an MBA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Liberty University. He is also a proud United States Army veteran who brings a commitment to service, leadership, and excellence to his work with youth and families.
